Dear friend,
TreKshitiZ.com, the
first ever website to give information in Marathi on various forts in the
Sahyadris, was started by KshitiZ group about more than just a couple of years
ago. We started trekking about six years before that and immediately fell in
love with it. We did enjoy every bit of it but at the same time faced some un
foreseen difficulties. We knew that sharing our experience and information with
fellow trekkers would make it easy for them as well as would also help amateur
trekkers. And what better medium to do so than a website. Thus TreKshitiZ.com
was born.
Right from the start the response that we have
received from the trekking community is what has kept us going. Also suggestions
and ideas that we have received have motivated us to keep on improving. Taking
this into mind we decided to further and bring for you an improved
TreKshitiZ.com. Expansion plans include more forts and photographs and new
sections. About 50 new forts will be added and you will also get many more
exclusive photographs to choose from an already extensive collection. New
sections include “Vrukshamitra” and “Rock Climbing”. We are proud to say
that the site is developed and maintained by our members only and we do not hire
any outside professional for the same.
During this golden journey it was always felt that all the trekkers should have
common platform where issues regarding our subject can be discussed and at the
same time we can form a community which would be aware of all the happenings in
our sport and environment. With this deliberation this forum was planned and is
now successfully implemented.
